I would like to say a warm 'hello' to this exciting community which is hosted by the wonderful resource that is MusicaNeo. Last weekend I was fortunate enough to be working in Italy and was bowled over by the beauty of Milan - although "La Scala" is much smaller than I imagined - yet exquisite in the extreme. If only I had had the time to hear an Italian opera there - but work was the reason I was there at all.
I was playing a live performance with other musicians in Steinegg - way up in The Dolomite Mountains with views to die for and hairpin bends that almost do that job for you! {There are some photos in my gallery} Wonderful weather made it extra special and the peace and traquility was rejuvenating - except for the sound of a cow bell attached to some fortunate beast out of my view - but clearly audible - and discoverable by the farmer, should he need help in locating it. Good to know that old technology is still working as it should :-)
My work for the next few months will be more home-based as I catalogue and update some of the educational music I have written over the years but not put into shape for a wider market. This is a task that's long overdue and I have begun by opening my account here, with MusicaNeo and so, I look forward to 'meeting' those who are also walking this creative path and to sharing and exchanging tips and experiences with others endeavouring to achieve similar goals. I'm very happy to be here.
